Scope

The Children's Issues Technical Group (CITG)  is focused on HFE issues related to the physical, cognitive and perceptual developmental of individuals from birth to 18, which includes research, design, and real world applications.

 

Our members are from varying fields and include researchers, practitioners, manufacturers, policy-makers, caregivers, teachers, and students.

 

Examples of applications include injury prevention, product usability, product safety, physical and cognitive development, and maturity, workload, and decision making in various environments, including home, school, vehicles, recreational and digital spaces.

 

The scope includes both products intended for children, products used by children unintentionally, and environmental hazards to this population.
